Tom Wünschmann Architektur + Design is an architectural office in Berlin (Germany). We are a young and dynamic office with a strong background in design research. Our goal is to develop innovative, distinctive and coherent approaches for every project at all levels from architecture to design. Elaborating the intersection of all parameters that shape a project in its local, social, cultural and economic context is a fundamental aspect of our work. Combined with technology and efficient digital workflows, we believe in enabling contemporary intelligent design.
The studio is part of the ecosystem of Konzulát Studios, a collaborative workspace founded by Achim Kaufer, Taro Gragnato and Tom Wünschmann. We believe in collaboration to bring together the best expertise to create an effective project development. A common basis in design, research and construction gives the studio, together with its broad network of specialists, the ability to offer extended services to projects.
Tom Wünschmann studied architecture and obtained his Diploma at the TU-Berlin (Germany) in 2007. During his studies he was also in Lausanne at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne as exchange student and at University of Applied Arts Vienna where he attended the studio of Prof. Zaha Hadid.
From 2007 till 2012, Tom joined Zaha Hadid Architects and worked in London, Beijing and Hamburg where he gained wide experience through various international projects. The most outstanding projects are the retail and office building Soho Galaxy in Beijing, the master plan for the residential and office towers in Bratislava and the Beethoven Concert Hall in Bonn.
Tom is a registered architect in Germany (AK Berlin) since 2011. He founded the studio in 2013 and led the practice since.
